Babaylanes, Inc., funded by Global Affairs Canada and supported by APCOM, is part of the project, “Supporting LGBTQI Rights in Asia: Connecting Voices for LGBTQI Socio-Economic Inclusion and Human Rights in Asia” which aims to improve local LGBTQI organizations’ ability to represent and advocate for LGBTQI persons’ welfare towards shaping gender-sensitive policies and programs in five countries in Southeast Asia; Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, and Thailand.

LOVE
The Lesbian Organization against Violence and inEquality (LOVE) is an urban poor Lesbians, bisexual women, and trans men (LBT) People’s Organization (LPO). Their members are composed of LBTs from Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines.
Their vision is to be an organization of LBTs that wants to create change starting from themselves towards their community by helping in small, but moral ways. On the other hand, their mission is to:
- Strengthen the organization and make it sustainable
- Build and strengthen the capacities and knowledge of the members
- Build and strengthen the relationship of the organization with institutions, local government units, and the national government.
- Lobby for policies, ordinances, and laws that will protect the rights of LBTs
Glamourosa
Glamourosa is a non-profit organization composed of the members of the LGBTQI community which is aimed at paving the way for a just, fair, inclusive, non-discriminatory, and equal society that will advocate for and empower vulnerable LGBTQI communities.
Their vision is a “just, fair, inclusive, and equal society that cares for all persons regardless of sex, gender, class, age, and SOGIESC”. To achieve this, their mission is to:
- Empowers LGBTQI communities through promotion of rights and health education, ease of access to basic services, and capacity-building initiatives;
- Creates an inclusive and nondiscriminatory environment; and,
- Advocates for the protection of aging, socioeconomically disadvantaged, and vulnerable LGBTQI communities
