We are pleased to announce that the final 20 applicants have been selected. Congratulations to the pioneering batch of the Babaylanes Equality Fellows!

To welcome them, an Orientation for Fellows was conducted last 19 February (Saturday). The successful applicants were given an overview of the program activities and introduced to the other fellows.

Special messages were given by Babaylanes President Edwin Salonga, Canadian Ambassador Peter MacArthur, and Senator Risa Hontiveros. Executive Director Jap Ignacio then presented the Curriculum and gave fellows the opportunity to clarify concerns. Fellows were then given a refresher course on SOGIESC by former Babaylanes President Perci Cendaña.

With this, the first batch of fellows is ready to begin their journey. We are excited about these emerging LGBTQI leaders and their contributions to the LGBTQI advocacy within their respective communities.
