The recent event successfully gathered LGBTQI student leaders to engage in a comprehensive learning experience aimed at strengthening their advocacy efforts and organizational sustainability. The participants deepened their knowledge on human rights advocacy, financial management, social media management, and resource mobilization, equipping them to ensure the continued success of their LGBTQI student organizations. This year the LGBTQI Student Network Conference was made possible because of the support of the Gerry Roxas Foundation under the INSPIRE program.

The LGBTQI Student Network Conference, held on July 4-5, 2023, brought together student leaders from across the country for a dynamic two-day program focused on organizational development, policy advocacy, and movement building. The first day opened with participant introductions, followed by a roundtable discussion on the activities and advocacy efforts of various organizations. A workshop to brainstorm and design the network’s name and logo was conducted, followed by a lively solidarity night. Day two featured a session on TGNC policy lobbying led by Bryon Senga, and a comprehensive SOGIESC 101 Training of Trainers facilitated by Percival Cendaña. The event culminated with the presentation and ratification of the network’s Constitution and By-Laws, followed by the distribution of certificates to the conference delegates.
